We are an evangelical church, glad to stand with Christians across the centuries and around the world who confess the historic faith. These are the convictions that shape our life together.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. It is not merely a book about God; it is God speaking, and we come to it to hear him.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory. He is holy, loving, and sovereign, the maker of all things, who upholds the world by his word.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose bodily from the grave. He now reigns at the Father’s right hand and will return in glory.
Salvation
We believe that all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and that we are saved not by our own effort but by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. His death paid the debt we could not pay, and his resurrection secures our hope.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, gives new birth, dwells in every believer, and empowers us to live holy lives and to serve. The fruit and gifts of the Spirit are given for the good of the whole church.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all who trust in him. We gather to worship, to hear the word, to pray, and to celebrate baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and we scatter to love and serve the world.
Christian living
We believe those who follow Jesus are called to lives of love, holiness, and generosity — loving God with all we are and our neighbors as ourselves. We grow not by our own striving alone but by the grace of God at work in us.
Our hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, to make all things new, and to dwell forever with his people. Because of this, we live with hope, even in a broken world.
